Favorite Bands

What are your favorite bands ever? Intrinsically, or intertwined with an important part of your life, or?

Mine:

• The Sisters of Mercy
• This Mortal Coil
• Delerium
• Peter Murphy

And I’ve been lucky enough to see three of those acts in person (all but This Mortal Coil). As much as I bitch about the world, these groups (and many others) can still remind me that there is beauty in the world.

Gaming afternoon, next Saturday (2004-01-17)

If any of the San Diego LJ geeks (hello, thatdamnninja and nolly, I’m talking to you!) are bored next Saturday, I’m hosting a gaming afternoon (probably going into the evening) next weekend at my place here in Ocean Beach.

We tend towards party games, card games, board games: lots of things like Apples to Apples, Outburst, Uno and similar fun-and-fast games; not so much the long-and-slow games.
